What is a “lined” column form?
A lined column form is a standard PVC column formwork tube fitted internally with a lining layer that produces a smoother, more consistent concrete surface once stripped, suited to architecturally exposed columns.
Does a lined finish cost more than standard PVC column formwork?
There is a modest premium over standard column formwork, but it is generally offset by reduced finishing, patching, and rendering costs after the pour.
Do I need to specify a lined finish when I order, or can it be added later?
It should be requested at the time of ordering, as the lining is applied during manufacture of the tube.
